Terms & Conditions
These terms cover your use of sitesforlodges.com itself — our own marketing pages and the interactive demo sandbox at /demonstration. They do not cover any individual organization’s own live website once purchased: each organization’s site is its own separate installation, with its own separate Terms and Privacy pages. By using this site or the demo, you agree to these terms.
Purchases
Subscriptions to the Community Sites Engine plugin are sold and processed through Freemius, our third-party payment and licensing provider. Completing a purchase means you are also agreeing to Freemius’s own terms of service for the transaction itself. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
The optional one-time Website Setup service is purchased separately through Stripe, and the optional text-message (SMS) add-on is a separate subscription with its own monthly plan, also through Freemius.
Your License
Purchasing a subscription entitles you to install and use the Community Sites Engine plugin on your own website, according to the plan you purchased and any terms stated on this site at the time of purchase or provided with your license. The plugin remains our intellectual property: a subscription grants you the right to use the software for as long as it is active — it does not transfer ownership of it to you.
Refunds
Your subscription. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your purchase, we will refund it in full, no questions asked. Refunds are issued by Freemius, who processed the payment — you can request one from them directly, or write to us at support@sitesforlodges.com and we will take care of it. Because a refund ends the subscription and the license with it, it isn’t a way to step down to a smaller plan — if you need to change plans, get in touch and we’ll sort it out.
The text-message (SMS) add-on. The SMS add-on is sold under a different policy, because text messages are delivered and paid for as they are sent. If you have not yet downloaded the add-on, we will refund it in full within 14 days of purchase — just ask. Once it has been downloaded, refund requests are handled case by case at our discretion, and any request must still be made within 14 days of the original purchase. You can cancel the add-on at any time to stop future charges.
The Website Setup service. The one-time Website Setup service can be refunded in full any time before we begin work. Once setup has started it is no longer refundable, because what you are paying for is hands-on time rather than a product. It is paid through Stripe rather than Freemius, so we handle those refunds ourselves — write to us at support@sitesforlodges.com.
Cancelling. Cancelling a subscription stops it from renewing; it does not end it early, and it does not refund the remainder. Your license stays active for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and the schedule described below begins from that expiration date.
Each product sold through Freemius also carries its own end-user license agreement, shown to you at checkout, which states that product’s refund policy in full. Where this summary and that agreement differ, the agreement provided with your purchase governs.
If Your Subscription Lapses
If a subscription is not renewed, your site keeps working normally for 30 days past the expiration date. After 30 days, your website stays online and public but can no longer be edited, and posting in the Community Feed is suspended. After 90 days, the site is taken offline and visitors see a short “temporarily unavailable” notice in its place.
Nothing is deleted at any stage. Your pages, your photos, and everything in your Community Feed remain intact, and renewing at any point — including after the site has gone offline — restores everything exactly as it was. You can also export your own content at any time, whether your subscription is active or not.
Cancelling a subscription follows the same schedule from the date of cancellation, so you always have time to move your content elsewhere if you choose to.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use this website and the interactive demo lawfully, and not to attempt to disrupt, misuse, or gain unauthorized access to the site, the demo, or our systems.
If you hold a subscription, you are responsible for all content posted, uploaded, or transmitted by you or by any user of your own installation — including everything published in your site’s Community Feed (“End User Content”) — and for ensuring that your use of the plugin, and your users’ use of it, complies with all applicable laws. This includes, without limitation, ensuring End User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party, is not unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory, and does not violate the privacy rights of any individual.
We do not monitor End User Content and are under no obligation to do so, but we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription, with or without notice, if we determine in good faith that your use of the plugin, or the End User Content on your installation, violates this section or applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The design of this site, the Community Sites Engine platform that powers it, and the SitesForLodges name and branding belong to Denton Properties LLC unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
No Warranty
This site, the interactive demo, and the Community Sites Engine plugin are provided “as is.” While we work to keep them reliable and accurate, we don’t guarantee they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond what’s described in our own materials.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Denton Properties LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, the interactive demo, or the plugin. Our total liability in any case is limited to the amount you actually paid us.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
