Privacy Policy
This policy covers only sitesforlodges.com itself — our own marketing pages and the interactive demo sandbox at /demonstration. It does not cover any individual organization’s own live website once purchased. Each organization’s site is its own separate installation, with its own separate Privacy Policy and Terms pages generated for that organization — so nothing here conflicts with, or applies to, an organization’s own site or its members’ data.
What We Collect
Standard web server logs. Like virtually any website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information from visitors — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar. This is standard and automatic, not something we actively review to identify individuals.
Interactive demo sandbox data. The demo at /demonstration stores the field values you type there temporarily on the server so it can show you a live preview. This sandbox data is tied to a short-lived session, is never saved permanently, and expires automatically after a couple of hours. It isn’t linked to your identity and isn’t used for anything beyond rendering your own preview.
Email correspondence. If you email us (support@sitesforlodges.com), we keep that correspondence like any normal business email, for as long as is reasonably useful for support and record-keeping.
Cookies
The interactive demo sets a single, strictly technical session cookie so it can tell your preview apart from another visitor’s. It is an httponly session cookie that goes away when your browser session ends; it carries only a random token, not personal information, and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Our hosting and website software may also set a small number of standard technical cookies necessary for the site to function.
Third-Party Services
Google Fonts. This site loads fonts directly from Google’s servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google when you visit. This is a standard, low-level technical exchange (similar to loading any image from a remote server), not a tracking mechanism we control.
Freemius. Subscriptions are sold, processed, and licensed through Freemius. They handle the payment itself and issue your license; see the Purchases section below for what that means for your data.
Stripe. The optional one-time Website Setup service is paid through Stripe, which processes that payment directly.
Purchases
When you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed entirely by Freemius, our payment and licensing provider. We do not receive, see, or store your payment card details — Freemius handles that directly. Freemius does share certain purchase details with us (your email address, license status, and similar account information) so we can support your license. The optional one-time Website Setup service is paid through Stripe, which likewise handles the payment directly; we receive confirmation of the payment, not your card details.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
